Investigators: Placer County River Fire Started Inside Bear River Campground, Was Human Caused

PLACER COUNTY (CBS13) — Investigators person recovered that this year’s River Fire successful Placer County was human-caused.

Cal Fire said connected Friday that investigators person determined the occurrence started connected Aug. 4 successful the overnight camping country of the Bear River Campground adjacent Colfax.

The occurrence went connected to pain 2,619 acres. A full of 142 structures successful Placer and Nevada counties were destroyed, officials say. Four radical were injured successful the fire, including 2 fighters and 2 civilians.

Exactly what started the occurrence has inactive not been detailed. Cal Fire says their probe is inactive ongoing.
