Inquiry on Rajini.. Letter to Governor for permission.

Amaravati: YSRCP leader Vidala Rajani and IPS officer Pallo Joshua are under investigation by the ACB (Anti-Corruption Bureau). They are accused of intimidating the owners of Sri Lakshmi Balaji Stone Crusher in Yedlapadu, Palnadu district, and illegally collecting Rs. 2.20 crore. The ACB is preparing to file a case against both. To begin an inquiry into Joshua, the ACB recently obtained permission from the Chief Secretary under Section 17A of the Prevention of Corruption Act. Now, the government has written a letter to the Andhra Pradesh Governor seeking permission to investigate Vidala Rajani. It is expected that approval will likely be granted within a day or two.

Following complaints that the owners of Sri Lakshmi Balaji Stone Crusher were intimidated into paying money, the AP Vigilance and Enforcement conducted an investigation and submitted a report to the government. The report revealed that YSRCP leader Vidala Rajani and IPS officer Joshua demanded Rs. 5 crore and collected Rs. 2.20 crore, with Rajani receiving Rs. 2 crore, Joshua receiving Rs. 10 lakh, and Rajani’s PA receiving Rs. 10 lakh. Based on this report, the Andhra Pradesh government has ordered the ACB investigation.

On the other hand, just a few days ago, YSRCP leader and former minister Vidala Rajani received relief from the AP High Court. The court, while considering her anticipatory bail petition in a harassment case, directed the Chilakaluripet police not to take harsh action against Vidala Rajani and her PAs. The case was filed by the ITDP president of Chilakaluripet constituency, Pilli Koti, who claimed that during the previous YSRCP government, he was harassed by Rajani, her PAs, and police for posting on social media.
