CAMPTONVILLE (CBS13) — An probe is underway aft quality remains were recovered astatine New Bullards Bar Reservoir past week, the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office said Monday.

Skeletal remains were recovered by a hiker connected the day of Dec. 21 adjacent the reservoir’s Dark Day Campground adjacent Camptonville. First responders were capable to corroborate the skeletal remains were human.

A coroner is moving to place the deceased and find a origin of death, the sheriff’s bureau said.
