High Court shocks movie lovers.

The High Court has issued crucial orders regarding the operation of special shows in theaters in Telangana. The High Court has continued the ban on premier and special shows, which multiplex owners and movie lovers were eagerly waiting for. However, it has modified its earlier restrictions on children below the age of 16 entering theaters. On January 21, the court's order was amended to allow children to attend all shows, which brings relief to family audiences. However, the court clarified that midnight shows would not be permitted.

Movie Lovers The Telangana government imposed a ban on special shows following a stampede at a theater during the premier show of Pushpa 2. After several petitions were filed in the High Court, Justice B. Vijay Sain Reddy's bench took up the case. The petitioner's lawyer argued that if children went to theaters at midnight, it would adversely affect their health. Agreeing with this argument, the bench directed that children under 16 should not be allowed in theaters from 11 PM to 11 AM.

Interim Petition in High Court However, multiplex owners filed an interim petition in the High Court against these orders. They argued that imposing restrictions on children's entry would cause significant losses to their business and requested the court to lift the ban until the government makes a clear decision. Taking this request into consideration, the bench temporarily relaxed the restrictions on children.

Good News for Theater Owners While the High Court's order brought some relief to theater owners, the continued ban on special shows disappointed the film industry. The court's directive to allow children under 16 to attend all shows until the government makes a final decision brought relief to theater owners. However, the court emphasized that the Cinematography Act must be strictly followed in theater management and that no special shows would be allowed between 1:30 AM and 8:40 AM. The next hearing has been postponed to March 17.
